Technical replicates
Technical replicates: every single experiement is performed on the exact same sample. e.g. one blood sample from person A
It’s good for if you want to talk about an individual or a method, such as:
- Measure an individual instead of broader audience (e.g. genes in an individual)
- Can tell how accurately the measure is. E.g. if the results are every different, it shows poor accuracy
Biological replicates
Biological replicates: each measurement comes from a different sample from different individual. e.g. different blood sample from multiple people
It’s good if you want to talk about a group.
